triwagga
Xceler8 is proud to be the naming rights sponsor for the triwagga triathlon festival.
The festival is billed to become Waggas own signature triathlon and multisport festival and once again is another indication of the commitment to the Wagga Wagga community from the team at Xcerler8.
Kerry, Ashley and the entire Xceler8 team have proven to be at the for front of developing a healthy community and the Xcelerat8 triwagga festival will be a celebration of fun and activity that everyone can enjoy from beginners to seasoned athletes.
The event organisers Elite Energy have produced many sporting events and directed many races including logistics management at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
We have developed our festivals with a family feel and promote inclusion not just competition all within a great festival atmosphere says Mark Stewart business development director for Elite Energy, and having had the pleasure of training at Xcelerat8’s brilliant gym in Wagga the fit between Elite Energy, Xceler8 and the Wagga community is a great indicator that the Xceler8 triwagga triathlon festival will grow to be Australia’s premier inland triathlon and multisport festival said Stewart.
This year’s festival has been selected as NSW only Long Course Triathlon selection race for the 2012 Triathlon World Champions to be held in Spain. It is expected that some of the country finest long distance triathletes will make their way to Wagga to compete for a prized position on the Australian Triathlon Team. This is a major coup for this year’s festival and is certain to add another level of excitement for competitors and spectators alike.
The action will kick off not in the water but at the Wagga Commercial Club with the VIP Media launch and Carbo night dinner with the Stars, with the first triathlon getting underway at Apex Park Lake Albert from 7am on Saturday morning.
On Saturday afternoon everyone is invited to cheer on the triathletes as they cross the finish line after completing the gruelling ULTIMATE triathlon. Having covered 142kms during the day the atmosphere and celebration is just brilliant. And everyone is invited to stay on for the Xceler8 twilight BBQ presented by Cargill Meats
The festival is designed to provide something for kids through to grandparents and everyone in between including most levels of fitness.
Xceler8 have designed training programs that can get you from the couch to your first triathlon
There is a race for everyone over the Xceler8 triwagga festival weekend.
